Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) is an institution of higher education that produces human resources, experts and professional in a variety of fields with the focus on the quality of graduates, quality of institutions, and quality of the overall system. With the vision to strive to be an innovative university of global standing, UMS strives to achieve academic excellence and international recognition through its attention to learning and teaching, research and publications, social services and balance in knowledge.

UMS is committed to education transformation to fulfill the core aspirations outlined in the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025 (Higher Education) in preparing Malaysia's youth to thrive in the complex and ever-changing future.

Universiti Malaysia Sabah is the 9th public university established in Malaysia. Significant with the number 9, the main campus was also built on a 999 acres land situated along Sepanggar Bay, Kota Kinabalu.

Looking magnificent, the clock tower stood tall welcoming and greeting every guest to Universiti Malaysia Sabah. Inspired by the fourth Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Mohd Harun Abdullah, the clock tower, serve as an iconic landmark, is located at the main entrance roundabout in main campus with the construction work started in 2014

With a seating capacity of 5,000 once at a time, the Chancellor Hall serves as space for university events such as Oath Taking and Pledge Ceremony and Convocation Ceremony. The going inspired Hall was first used for convocation in 2003.

The Chancellery Building houses the offices of the administration building including the Chancellery Department, Registrar Department, and the Bursar Department. The Chancellery building, also known as the Twin Tower among the community, is located at the top of UMS hill.

The second lecture hall complex started fully operating in 2011. The complex hosts lecture halls and Academic Services Divison office.

UMS Museum

UMS Museum is located on the ground floor, Sout Block of the Chancellery Building. The Museum collected UMS precious history. The museum is open to all visitors with a small entrance fee. 

The Clock Tower

Strech from the shore into the water of Sepanggar Bay, the jetty is one of the facilities provided for students and researchers who are involved in marine life research.
